Can I really drop off my kids anytime?
YES! We offer childcare six days a week. We are opened until 9 pm Monday through Thursday and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. However reservations are required for children under 3 years old at all times and are recommended when you need child care on a specific date and time. If you need a few hours or all day, we are available.

What types of programs are offered?
We offer full-time infant, toddler and preschool programs during the day. We offer drop-in/hourly child care for all children ages 0-10 in the days and evenings. We also offer theme nights on Friday and Saturday nights, and special events and programs throughout the month. Check our monthly calendar. All programs and activities are offered at no extra charge!

What are your staff qualifications?
All our staff members are CPR and First Aid certified. We conduct criminal background checks on our staff as well. Many of our staff members have years of experience; Associate, Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Early Childhood & Elementary Education. Some of our teachers are also state certified from nursery school to grade six. We are very proud of our staff!

Is CT Kidz by the Hour state licensed?
Yes. We are licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Child Day Care Licensing Program.

What is the staff to child ratio?
We follow the licensing regulations for the state of Connecticut; however, we are often over-staffed. We exceed the state’s regulated staff-to-child ratio in our infant, toddler and preschool programs. Parents always feel confident knowing that their children get the individual attention and care they deserve!

Do I have to schedule a tour?
No! We have an open door policy. Stop in anytime for a tour.

Are meals and snacks provided?
Snacks are provided with the hourly care rate and our full-time rate. However, children in our full-time program are required to provide their own lunch. Meals are provided for an additional charge on Friday and Saturday nights only.

What makes CT Kidz by the Hour different from other traditional child care centers?
EVERYTHING! We offer reliable child care six days a week; yes that’s right on weekends and late in the evenings! You only pay for the time your child attends CT Kidz by the Hour. You can use our child care services whenever a need comes up without prior planning.

How do we find out about special events and activities?
Special events and activities are posted on our monthly calendar in the center and on our web site.

Are you open on days schools are closed?
Yes, we are open during inclement weather days, school vacations and some holidays.

If we have a regular childcare provider, how would your services by useful?
Think of us as an additional provider for your child care needs. We could be back-up when your childcare provider is unable to care for your child. Use us on weekends or for occasional care. Use us for birthday parties or special occasions. Remember there is no commitment required for drop-in/hourly child care services.

Are you a peanut free environment?
Yes, we are a peanut free environment. There are no peanut products in our kitchens or anywhere in our center.

Safety is our number one priority! From the facility design to our strict drop off and pick up policies, we make sure your children are safe.
